If you are thinking about participating in figure competitions realize this will be one of the most challenging
activities you will ever participate in. When you understand the discipline and the dedication required to
achieve the best physique, you will be on your way to building the best physique you will ever attain.
There are many steps to achieving this goal. The first and most important is diet. This is the hardest
part in attaining the best physique. The second is the workouts. The workouts are easy compared to
the clean eating (sometimes you just want a bite of pizza). This could be the difference between first
and second place.
Fitness is the most exciting category in the bodybuilding division. Fitness is high energy and really gets
the crowd excited to be a spectator. Fitness has the same elements as figure but you are adding one
more component. Here, the participant shows her level of athleticism as well as her physique. When
competing in fitness you have a two-minute choreographed routine to any music you choose. You can
pick any theme you would like.
There are five mandatory moves when showing your routine. Some are challenging and some are easy.
The five moves are: 1. Splits. (Any direction) 2. Four front kicks. 3. Pike hold. 4. Straddle hold. 5. Only 2
one-arm push-ups. With enough time and practice you will be amazed to know you can do the splits.
In both figure and fitness you are building lean muscle while leaning down with clean eating. You will be
amazed at how you can transform your body anywhere from 4-6 months of dedicated training.

“ Boot Camp was a terrific experience for me. I made new friends while getting toned, losing weight and maintaining healthy eating habits. I love the way it made me feel (and look!) and it was just the push I needed to get me back into shape. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to jump-start their exercise routine and create healthy habits for themselves. ”
