I love working with Carol and Janice, owners of Work It Out Fitness. They are extremely knowledgeable in
regards to fitness and nutrition! Their gym provides a wonderful and safe place to work on my goals.
In January 2006 I weighed into my first Boot Camp with Carol at 200.4 pounds. I had not worked out in years.
After attending 2 of Carol's Boot Camps I felt I was now safe to workout on my own at WIO. I enjoy Pilates
and the other group fitness classes that are provided.
I have had some challenges. In summer of 2006 I cracked my tailbone (at home) and then 1 year later tore
my meniscus (at home). The meniscus tear set me back 6 months. So, in January of 2008, I was back at the
gym to strengthen my knee and loose 20 pounds that came back on
I reached the weight of 167, again, and it was the place that I have plateaued before. Carol worked with me
on a new nutrition plan that fits my busy life style as a real estate agent. I plan my meals everyday packing
my 2 lunch pails. That way, there is no temptation of fast foods. I have so much more energy by balancing
my carbs, fats and proteins with my workouts and day off from the gym. Carol helps with determining what
the gram counts that are needed for the different food groups and it is up to me to follow her suggestions and
exercise plan. (The Spin classes are now my favorite! I enjoy it so much I have my own routine that I do when
there is no class.) I have now dropped below that 167 plateau and am currently at 163!
For me it is a very rewarding and healthy eating and exercise plan that is helping me reach my
goal and feel healthy and happy in the process.
